Angrezi Medium is an emotional movie where all the actors act brilliantly and you will feel engrossed for the entire time.
Irrfan's acting is so natural and he looks at ease with his character. His adaptation of the character's accent, body language, looks is magnificent.
Radhika is stunning and undoubtedly thousand times better in acting than these star kids. She should get more opportunities, she won't disappoint.
Deepak is as usual at his best and other supporting cast is strong, their presence in the movie is felt throughout.
Hats off to the whole team, a must watch movie!!!

The first half represents change, the second half tradition. A couple of recent Hindi films have tried to upend traditional family structures, only to reach for the comfort of normality as the narrative winds down. Jawaani Jaaneman starts to judge its footloose forty-something hero by the end. Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan spends its second half trying to win over Gajraj Rao’s sulky homophobe. We see this in Angrezi Medium as well, though the moral pressure here is so subtle as to make the person it’s applied on think it’s her idea. At the start of Homi Adajania’s film, we see Champak (Irrfan, back after a break for cancer treatment), an Udaipur mithai-seller, casually put a stop to his bride’s studies after marriage. The wife dies, and Champak swears that he’ll give their only daughter the best education possible. Tarika (Radhika Madan) grows up obsessed with the idea of studying abroad. And so Champak, though unwilling to squarely deal with the thought that she’ll leave him one day, starts putting together the money needed for her to go to college in London. Though the comedy is sometimes too broad for even Irrfan and Deepak Dobriyal (playing Champak’s brother) to salvage, the first half has a raucous underdog energy. But once the trio leave for England, the film acquires a slapdash quality that suggests either a lack of time or screenwriting resolve. The brothers’ plan is laughable: team up with a childhood acquaintance they barely know and somehow make a large amount of money in a very short period of time, all the while carrying fake passports, in a country where they don’t speak the language. There’s the odd slapstick winner – Dobriyal twirling his arm before introducing himself as Saqlain Mushtaq is hilarious – but the writers are mostly clutching at straws. The film also seems to realise after the interval that it lacks dramatic heft. And so, out of nowhere, we get Dimple Kapadia and Kareena Kapoor Khan, playing mother and daughter, facing off in an emotionally charged scene. The problem is, these are characters we’ve spent no time with, barely know anything about. How are we supposed to suddenly be invested in their damaged lives? The film doesn’t really care either; it just needs someone for Champak to be able to displace his fatherly guilt onto, since he and Tarika have a falling-out over her getting a job and saying she’ll pay him back for the money he’s spending on her fees.

Coming from the team of Hindi medium we had quite high expectations from this movie, however after watching the movie these are not met. The base story is quite good, but looking at the complete movie it doesn't seems quite right. Some cast like Kareena Kapoor and Ranveer Shorey doo not fit the movie, they seems like to be the odd one out. Kareena Kapoor 'a character seems to be out of sync and inserting turnover for behaviour seams sceptical Oe thing which this movies does brillaintly, is the reflection of the feelings of the parents who are ready to go any mile to fulfill the aspirations and the dreams of their childrens. If you watch it like a comedy movie it's fine however if you have high expectation then you woukd to be seriously disappointed, Acting by Radhika Madan Irfan is brilliant. Acting by Radhika Madan and Irfan Khan absolutely brilliant

This is a wonderful movie with a motivating story! To be quite honest, It's basically everybody's dream to study in a foreign country and the story of this film is also based on the same when a daughter of a normal shop owner elaborate to him how she has a desire to study in London, England, UK & then the struggles he faces while trying to fulfill the dream of his daughter. The acting is perfect and so is the direction of this movie overall. It's totally a MUST WATCH for everybody!

The man Irrfan Khan fleshes out with effort to spare in Homi Adajania's Angrezi Medium has a comic flaw. Champak Bansal, Udaipur mithai shop owner and single parent, is forever in two minds. Yes or no, this or that, here or there: he is inevitably pulled in contrary directions whenever he has to make a life-altering decision.Confusion is, therefore, the name of the game in Angrezi Medium, a Hindi Medium follow-up that does not quite make the grade. As long as the hemming and hawing is limited to the protagonist, it generates a certain amount of mirth. But when the screenplay, credited to four writers (too many cooks, muddles things up, which is more frequently than is good for the film, it definitely isn't good news, no matter what medium one chooses to deliver it in. Angrezi Medium make ungainly attempts to mine laughs from the misadventures of a well-intentioned individual whose English language proficiency is severely impaired but who, when push comes to shove, is willing to go to any length to pave the way for his daughter Tarika to study in a university in the Champak rubs Tarika's school principal the wrong way, publicly accuses her sessions court judge-husband Zakir Hussain of corruption, seeks assistance from a dodgy NRI friend Ranvir Shorey gets deported from England for admitting that he works for a man who is in the business of drugs that is the word Google throws up when he searches for the meaning of 'dawaai' and, undeterred, he returns to London with a fake Pakistani passport. For a modest screwball comedy about doting father and his daughter, all this could be a deemed pretty passable. But as the principal premise for the redoubtable Irrfan's first big screen appearance in over a year and a half, it isn't up to scratch.

This movie is really sweet, enjoyable and does succeed in it's message deliverance but it beats around the bush too much and keeps on losing it's track pretty often. It is perfectly packed by outstanding performances by the whole cast and some pretty good comedy but all that definetly isn't enough to hold on to a somewhat meandering script, with a plot which seems too contrived and out of place at times, that too, held together by just above average direction.

Thickna posted a review for Angrezi Medium in Movies
The film has a great cast and a few entertaining moments but no coherent story to tell and neither the conviction in the father-daughter duo's single minded pursuit of studying in a college in London. It seems like there are several individual performances stitched together in the edit to make it into a film. Kareena, Dimple and were all casualty of that inconsistency in the story. This was a great casting coup let down by a poor script.

This movie is the mixture of comedy and emotion. Best acting by Irfan, Deepak and Radhika. Supporting cast are also awesome, they had given their 100%. Story is not new but even though the way it has portrayed is nice. This shows how parents are ready to sacrifice everything. Awesome man specially Irfan. Watched this movie only for Irfan's Acting. Every youngster's should watch this movie.

A beautiful story of a girl who at moment was not so clever, puts in hard work to study in London. The same goes with ups and down of getting herself into the college and how her father stil supports her despite the wrong attitude. The only part I didn't like was that after going to London, the story becomes too fast and off the grid without strong support of the story. How they face immigration, how they get admission at the end and all that was just too fake. But one thing which was best as always was Irfan. I found first one better a bit then this.

Konduru posted a review for Angrezi Medium in Movies
The first half of the screenplay is more engaging then the second, but, while trying to fit in too many subplots, the story goes quite haywire. There are some fantastic moments in the film, and sharply written scenes between the characters, too, which in turn, prove to be the highlights of this drama. However, the story is far too convenient and has inconsistencies that are hard to overlook, but Irrfan's exceptional performance makes it worth the watch.

In one line,Angrezi Medium is a nice, cute, decent movie which had the potential to be so much more !hampak’s world pretty much revolves around his daily bickering with his other Ghasitaram brother, Gopi (Deepak Dobriyal), and caring for his only daughter, Tarika, who’s all set to graduate high school and embark on another academic journey. But, unlike her father, she doesn’t want to limit her dreams to the place she has grown up in; instead, she wants to explore what lies outside of her small world. Unaware of what's ahead, Champak gives in to his daughter's wishes, but things start to spiral out of control when it comes down to paying the hefty fee.

Irrfan khan is a true actor and has the capability to make a film moving with his superb and smooth acting skills. Well directed and brilliant acting from deepak dobrial. Deepak has entered his name in the best character actors list. Really it is a great movie and its a family movie so we can watch it with our family also.Screenplay is little weak plus length of the movie has been stretch unnecessary should have been within 2 Hours. Irafan khan sir acting was so real and i personally like his movie very very much and he is my girlfriend's favourite actor also.

There are some fantastic moments in the film, and sharply written scenes between the characters. Chandru posted a review for Angrezi Medium in Movies
“Angrezi Medium” Well, Bollywood missed the affable actor Irfaan Khan and he is back with a sensible delight. For folks who watched Hindi Medium, this is kinda take on what happens when the kid grows..Like most kids who take a flight to some city abroad for better education and quality , still need basic English skills. The movie doesn’t preach about English but the core cynosure is the father daughter relationship n the movie has an amazing humour quotient. The movie starts on a slow note with sweet scenes and As you feel it’s gonna be slow it picks up wonderfully in second half. The movie elevates to give you the full worth and enchantment as it provides you a lot through the London travailing. The drunk scenes where the brothers commit to their little acts of pulling each other down is fun. The entire movie gives you laughs throughout keeping it in lighter vein. The conflict between the father and daughter to her new going freedom and zeal to live in a new world is relatable to every father in some of the other circumstances Beneath all the humour, the underlying current of emotions be it between the father daughter, the undisputed love between brothers, the hard relationship between Kareena and Dimple, the independence and responsibilities of being alone as a migrant student, they all tug at your heart. Irfaan looks pale after his bout of ill Health. But he has his acting charm intact and manages to make the movie worth a watch. Radhika Madan acts well & with her tight lipped conversation she does quite well in her accent. Deepak compliments Irfaan excellently and is a treat to watch Movis brings together other fantastic actors like Pankaj Tripathi, Dimple Kapadia, Ranveer Shorey n Kiku Sharda gets some scope outside Kapil Sharma show . Ofcourse the diva Kareena needs a special mention. A lovely movie to watch one time !!

Yes, that was me! Ditto like my dad. So damn true. Did you say any of the above 3 phrases? Then surely, this movie has left a dent in you. Angrezi Medium with a star studded cast (in terms of sheer acting) delivers a wholesome entertaining package. Portrayal of a Dad-Daughter relation was one of the purest. Highlighting how a guardian, sacrifices everything just to bring a smile and fulfil his/her child's wishes was the main aspect of the film. This can tend to be emotional, but this film was packed with Deepak Dobriyal and Irrfan Khan's smooth comic timing. In short, if you/ your child plan to go abroad, surely watch this one, so you can pass those smirky smiles at all those punchy dialogues.

This is a movie I can bet on that it will amaze each & every one, all thanks to the effort they will show that a father does for his kids, & the man portraying the father himself, Irrfan Khan(although the remaining star cast is also amazing) . But the basic essence of a kid of being so stubborn that they will ignore all their family & financial troubles just to fulfill their desires but make people believe that it is their dream, is really sickening.
